PrivacyPick.com ("we", "our", "us", "the site") publishes reviews, ratings and guides for privacy and security tools (VPNs, private browsers, password managers and more). By browsing the site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

2. The Content Is Informational, Not Advice

Everything we publish — reviews, scores, comparison tables, shortlists and blog posts — is general information to help you research privacy and security tools. It is not professional security, legal, financial or other advice, and it is not a guarantee of any outcome.

A rating reflects our editorial judgement at the time of writing against a published rubric. It is not a promise that a product will suit your specific threat model, jurisdiction or use case. You are responsible for deciding whether a tool is right for you, and for how you use it.

3. Editorial Independence and Affiliate Links

Some links to products are affiliate links: if you sign up for a product through one, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never influences a rating — products are scored on merit, and several products we cover have no affiliate program at all. Full detail is on our About page.

4. Advertising

The site displays third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Any interaction with an advertisement — clicking it, and anything that happens on the advertiser's site afterwards — is governed by that advertiser's own terms and privacy practices, not ours. We do not endorse advertised products, and an advertisement appearing on a page does not affect our review of any product.

5. Accuracy and Updates

We verify the trust-critical claims in a review against primary sources before publishing, and each review records when its facts were last checked. Even so, prices, plans, ownership, audit status and features change often, and a page may be out of date by the time you read it. Always confirm the current details — especially pricing — on the provider's own site before you buy or rely on anything.

6. External Links

The site links to third-party websites — provider pages, audit reports, news articles and reference material. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, or for any loss arising from your use of them.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on PrivacyPick.com — text, ratings, tables, page design and layout — is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back to the source page. You may not republish, scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the site without our written permission.

Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and commentary only. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

8. No Warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
